A Hustonville woman arrested Tuesday afternoon, after police respond to reports of an erratic driver.
Deputy Jason Grider, with Casey County Sheriff's Office, says callers reported a '17 Chevy Malibu, traveling southbound on 127, all over the roadway. Hustonville Police Chief, Allen Wesson, observed the vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the road & initiated a traffic stop.
The driver, 58 year old Tammy Lynn May, of 170 Water St., Hustonville, stated she had been drinking and smelled of alcohol, according to Deputy Grider.
Officers located numerous empty bottles, and an open half-full container of 99 xxpresso coffee, 99 proof liqueur in the cup holder of the vehicle.
Ms. May failed field sobriety tests and was transported to Casey Co. Hospital for a blood alcohol test.
She is charged with DUI-2nd Offense, Careless Driving, Possession of an Open Alcohol Container in a Motor Vehicle.
