Liberty City Council met in regular session yesterday.
A motion was made to extend Dale Hoskins' membership on the Housing Authority Commission to September 30, 2025. That motion was approved.
There were several visitors at yesterday's City Council meeting, including a doctor and several nurses. They addressed the Council concerning their recent discussion about a possible occupational tax…
The visitors voiced concerns that an occupational tax would be unfair and might make workers leave our area. Mayor Brown stated that there were very few cities left in the state that do not have an occupational tax, the closest one being Lawrenceburg.
That lengthy discussion dominated the rest of the meeting which was then adjourned with no action taken.
The next regular meeting of the Liberty City Council is scheduled for
April 11th.
