CASEY COUNTY FISCAL COURT REPORT

The Casey County Fiscal Court met in regular session Monday.

Skipper Todd with the Casey County Conservation District presented the magistrates with their annual report, which was accepted.

Judge Executive Randy Dial asked for a motion granting him authority to sign a tire waste agreement. Once the dates are finalized, Casey County will once again participate in the waste tire amnesty program...

The motion was approved.

Judge Dial also asked for authority to sign an agreement with Columbia Gulf Gas concerning their usage of County right of ways on Caney Fork Road to perform upgrades to their gas line. That motion was approved.

The Court accepted excess fees from the Sheriff's Department.

The magistrates voted to approve some temporary repairs to Gateway Park so that youth baseball may proceed for the season. The court is still looking into the possibility of moving the Little League field to a new location...

Judge Dial also noted that the Casey County Board of Elections has opted to use one central location for voting, at the Pork Producer's Building at the Central Kentucky Ag Expo Center. Voting will be open the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday prior to election Day, as well as election day itself. Judge Dial and the magistrates along with County Attorney Tommy Weddle voiced concern that there would only be one central voting location...

The next regular meeting of the Casey County Fiscal Court will be Monday, March 21st.
