The Liberty City Council met in regular session Monday.

Councilman Richard Montgomery posed a question to the City Attorney concerning the procedure of a possible occupational tax, also about possibly extending the city limits...
Mayor Brown stated he would be in contact with a CPA consultant to address the council concerning the options of a possible occupational tax, and perhaps setting up a workshop meeting to discuss it further. No action was taken.
Councilman Richard Montgomery also asked for clarification about possible findings of the Corps of Engineers concerning flooding in the city, and that any possible actions would require 30% matching funds from the city. Mayor Steven Brown confirmed the 30% match.
The next regular meeting of the Liberty City Council is scheduled for March 14th.
