A Liberty man was arrested on DUI charges, following a traffic stop Wednesday.

Casey County Sheriff Chad Weddle observed the driver of a 2022 Suzuki Grand Vitara run a stop sign about eight miles West of Liberty at the junction of N. Hatfield Road, and KY 206. The vehicle then crossed the center-line on 206. 

Sheriff Weddle initiated the traffic stop and noted the driver had slurred speech. 

47 year old Gary D. Rodgers, failed field sobriety tests, and admitted using Methamphetamine, two days prior.

Mr. Rodgers was charged with DUI-controlled Substance, and Disregarding a Stop Sign.

He was lodged in the Casey Co. Jail.
