All roads in the district will remain covered and slick with compacted snow this morning until single-digit temperatures rise enough for salt and calcium treatments to become effective. Crews will continue plowing throughout the day.

Motorists are still advised to avoid travel. Interstates and parkways through the region are open but traffic is moving slow. Emergency response and towing resources continue to be in high demand.
