A Hustonville man was slightly injured in a single vehicle accident Monday morning.

Deputy Geoffrey Brown, with Casey County Sheriff's Office, responded to the scene shortly after 8:30am, about 6 miles south of Liberty on KY 501.

The driver, 44 year old David W. Wheeler, stated he was traveling south, when he dropped off the shoulder in a curve and lost control. His 2005 Chevy Cobalt crossed the roadway and came to rest in a ditch on the other side of the road. The vehicle sustained severe damage to the front and rear.

Wheeler was treated for minor injuries at the scene by Casey County EMS.

He was also cited for No Registration Plates/Receipt, & No Insurance.
