HOPPED UP ON FROG HOLLOW

 

Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck reports that on October 18, 2021, Deputy Tan Hudson was conducting routine patrol when he discovered a vehicle operating suspiciously. Deputy Hudson was on a traffic stop when he observed a vehicle turn down West Frog Hollow Road. Deputy Hudson completed his traffic stop and went to West Frog Hollow Road and found the vehicle in a driveway, blacked out. Deputy Hudson parked in an area to observe the vehicle.

 

A short time later the vehicle left the residence. Deputy Hudson observed the vehicle commit a traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle. Deputy Hudson approached the vehicle and found the operator of the vehicle was Nancy Crout, age 39, of Nicholasville. Crout advised Deputy Hudson they stopped on West Frog Hollow Road to switch drivers, because the passenger, Joseph Wilson, age 52, of Louisville, did not have a valid driver’s license.

 

Crout gave consent for Deputy Hudson to search the vehicle. Deputy Hudson, along with Deputy Nathan Meadows, began searching the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, they located a baggie containing approximately 10 Xanax in the middle of the car. They located a stolen handgun Crout’s purse, along with suspected methamphetamine and Xanax.

 

Upon further search of the vehicle, Deputies located a Nike bag in the backseat. A search of the Nike bag revealed approximately 55 grams of suspected methamphetamine, approximately 10 grams of Fentanyl, 2 suspected Xanax, 11 suspected Gabapentin, baggies, and digital scales. Deputies located a bottle with approximately 30 Xanax. Deputies also located approximately $750.00 in cash.

 

Nancy Crout was charged with the following charges:

 

Charge #1 - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense over 2 grams methamphetamine

 

Charge #2 -  Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Offense Fentanyl

 

Charge #3 -  Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree 1st Offense less than 20             dose units

 

Charge #4 - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree 1st Offense less than 20 dose units

 

Charge #5 -  Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess  Charge #6 - Rear License Not Illuminated

 

Charge #7 - Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon

 

Joseph Wilson was charged with the following charges:

 

Charge #1 - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense over 2 grams methamphetamine

 

Charge #2 -  Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Offense Fentanyl

 

Charge #3 -  Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree 1st Offense less than 20             dose units

 

Charge #4 - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree 1st Offense less than 20 dose units

 

The drugs will be submitted to the Kentucky State Police Crime Lab for identification.

 

Ms. Crout and Mr. Wilson were transported to the Pulaski County Detention Center where they remain lodged as of this press release. 

 

Deputy Tan Hudson is continuing the investigation.
