DUNNVILLE MAN ARRESTED AFTER AUTHORITIES FIND HIM PASSED OUT AT THE WHEEL

 

A Dunnville man was arrested after his pickup truck hit a structure at a local restaurant.

 

Deputy Jason Grider, with Casey Co. Sheriff's Office responded to the call shortly after 6am Thursday morning at the Bread of Life Cafe, about six miles south of Liberty on US 127. Upon arrival, he found a 2004 GMC Sierra pickup in the yard of the business with the engine running and the transmission in reverse, the driver passed out at the wheel. The truck had struck a generator building, causing damage to the corner of the structure.

 

The arrest citation states that 48 year old Jeffrey Curtis Swinney, of Red Hill Rd., Dunnville, appeared to be impaired with slurred speech and bloodshot eyes.  He was in possession of two plastic baggies with suspected Methamphetamine. 

 

Mr. Swinney was charged with DUI-Controlled Substance, Possession of Meth-1st Deg., & Careless Driving. He was lodged in the Casey Co. Jail.
