A Lancaster man arrested during a traffic stop in Junction City.

The Boyle County Sheriff's Office reports, Captain Casey McCoy and K9 Deputy TJ Wren conducted a traffic stop Sunday on Shelby Street in Junction City. The vehicle's registration plate did not match the vehicle. The driver, identified as Douglas A. Shearer of Lancaster, was found to have a suspended license and seven active warrants. 

Warrants included felony theft by deception-including cold checks and theft by failure to make required disposition of property. Counties included Casey, Fayette, Clark, Bourbon, Garrard and Harrison Counties. 

Further investigation found Shearer has done work in Boyle County. In the previous cases Shearer has been paid for jobs but never completed his work. If any citizen of Boyle County has been victimized by Shearer please contact the Sheriff’s Office, or your local law enforcement agency.
