The Liberty City Council met Tuesday. This was a special called meeting due to Monday’s regular meeting having to be rescheduled.

Again, Mr. Jones assured the council there would be no out-of-pocket cost to the City Of Liberty or Casey County. No action was taken.
The council approved a resolution relating to maintenance of city streets. As well as a resolution relating to municipal Road aid in the amount of $44,000 from the state of Kentucky.
The council also approved a first reading of the amended budget for 2020/2021 and adopted that amended budget with a 3% raise for city employees.
The agenda had one last item for the council to go into executive session related to property and litigation, however that was postponed and will be revisited at a special called session on Monday, June 21 at 4 o’clock at Liberty City Hall.
