The Casey County Board of Education met in regular session last night at Libery Elementary School.

Also at last night's meeting, Bus Driver, John Ellis, representing a large group of drivers & bus monitors, addressed the Board requesting a pay increase. They had initially requested $20 an hour for drivers, however, last night Mr. Ellis stated that if they did not receive $17 an hour for drivers, and $12 for monitors, they would not sign a contract for service for the coming school year...

Mr. Ellis expressed hope that the Board would resume negotiations.  Many drivers stated that they would not be driving this morning.  A short time later, the one-call went out from Mr. Sowders...

The Board will meet in special session this evening at 7pm at the Board Annex, however, that meeting is a work session in the selection process for a new Superintendent.
