A Liberty man arrested Monday for stealing a tractor.

Casey County Sheriff Chad Weddle arrested 45 year old Christopher M. Austin, after it was reported that a tractor, rifle, and other items were stolen. The tractor was located behind Goose Creek Candles on US 127.

Austin was identified as the driver of the tractor and is charged with:
- burglary 1st degree
- theft by unlawful taking $10,000 or more under $1,000,000
- theft by unlawful taking firearm

Sheriff Weddle was assisted by Deputies Geoffrey Brown, Jayson Grider, Brain King, Robin Lynn, Liberty Police Chief Steven Garrett, and Liberty Officer Ron Goodpaster.
