A Warren County man, wanted on a murder charge in Pulaski County, was arrested just after 2am Friday on Chesnut Level Road.
The Casey County Sheriff's Office says, Deputy Vance Davis arrested Samuel Baker, 22, of Bowling Green, after receiving a call of a tresspasser on Rainwater Rd. Deputy Davis located the suspect vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop, after it drove into a ditch and made a U-turn in the roadway, nearly striking the deputy's cruiser. The driver refused to stop and eventually lost control and drove off the road. The driver then fled on foot into a creek.
Baker is charged with:
- reckless driving
- fleeing or evading police 2nd degree (motor vehicle & on foot)
- possession of marijuana
- driving on suspended or revoked operator license
- no insurance
- resisting arrest
Baker was also served a Pulaski County warrant for murder in connection to the death of Robert Claunch.
He was lodged in the Casey County Jail.
