There was a special meeting yesterday at the Central Ky Ag Center to address the recurring flood problems in Liberty/Casey County.

Dan Vogler with the Corps of Engineers told the audience that more study was needed, which could cost a quarter of a million dollars. Once completed, there will be further decisions to be made concerning environmental impacts to any course of action.

The maximum dollar amount to solve the problem cannot exceed $10 million dollars, and about $3 million of that will have to come from local sources.
