CASEY COUNTY FISCAL COURT REPORT

 

Casey County Fiscal Court met in regular session Monday.

 

Skipper Todd presented the Court with the annual report from the Conservation Board.

 

Post-audit excess fees were accepted from the Casey County Sheriff’s Office.

 

Also under general business, a vacancy was created on the Hospital Board by the resignation of Greg Lawhorn... 

 

 

The Court approved Brad Johnson to fill that vacancy for the remainder of the term.

 

Resurfacing operations have been recommended on Ky 501 & Ky 1859. Judge Executive, Randy Dial...

 

 

Those recommendations were accepted by the Court.

 

Under road business, the Fiscal Court declared a 1996 Ford F350, and some assorted lumber, to be sold as surplus property in a consignment auction at the Ag Center, Saturday, March 27.

 

Under jail business, Judge Executive Randy Dial submitted a budget as a work in progress to meet the April 1 deadline...

 

 

Also under jail business, there was some discussion concerning the current medical contract. In order to help cut costs, the Court voted to opt-out of the contract while keeping the same staff. This could potentially result in savings to the county of $7-$8,000 per month.

 

Casey County Sheriff Chad Weddle gave his monthly activity report for the month of February... 

 

 

Judge Dial expressed appreciation to local volunteers who have stepped up to take part in the Casey County clean up challenge, presented by the tourism commission.

 

Magistrate Robbie Murphy also expressed appreciation to Casey County Sheriff Chad Weddle for recent citations of littering offenders.

 

The next regular meeting of the Casey County Fiscal Court is scheduled for April 5th.
