Casey County Sheriff's Office cracking down on litter-bugs.

Thursday, after receiving a call of garbage dumped on Calhoun Creek, Sheriff Chad Weddle charged Michael E. Hall, 32, of Liberty, with criminal littering. Hall is to clean up the garbage along with both sides of the road from the junction of Dry Ridge and Calhoun Creek to the bottom of the hill on Calhoun Creek.

Wednesday, Sheriff Chad Weddle cited Katie Harris, 19, of Liberty, for criminal littering, after a large amount of trash was dropped on KY 1547. Harris is to remove the trash starting from the junction of W KY 70 to the one mile marker of 1547.
