EXTENDED BOIL WATER ADVISORY ISSUED FOR TAYLOR & PARTS OF CASEY COUNTIES

***Locally in Casey County areas affected include Dry Creek, Bull Run, Sulphur Run, & Dug Hill.***

 

All Campbellsville water customers (All city/county customers)

 

Please be advised that a BOIL WATER ADVISORY has been issued for the areas above as of January 22, 2021 until further notice.

 

Due to the clear well line at the Water Treatment Plant having a leak and persistent with the Kentucky Division of Water Regulation 401 KAR 8:020 A break or rupture occurs that requires more than eight (8) hours to repair, with the eight (8) hours beginning when the water system becomes aware of the break. We are required by the Division of Water to issue a Boil Water Advisory to all Campbellsville Customers and Purchasers.

 

We are issuing this Boil Water Advisory only as a precautionary measure. While bacteriological contamination of the water has not been confirmed, the possibility of such contamination exists. This advisory is issued as a precautionary measure to protect the health and welfare of consumers in our Water System.

 

We have and are continuing to Microbiological Monitor weekly as well as check daily Chlorine residuals to ensure all safety and health is being met for our consumers. We will update customers if any change in water quality occurs.

Boil Water Advisory Procedures:

 

 

1.    Boil any water used for human consumption

2.    Boil water for short-term use only

3.    Bring water to a rolling boil for three minutes.

 

This will be an extended boil water advisory until further notice.
