An Arizona man was arrested on Burglary charges early Tuesday after authorities say he used his truck to try & pull an ATM machine from a local store.

Casey County Sheriff Chad Weddle says an alarm company notified Casey Dispatch shortly before 3am, about an alarm at Crockett Trail General Store, seven miles West of Liberty on KY 70. The key holder stated he could see a truck in front of the store and a male subject walking around.

Deputy Pierce with Casey Co. Sheriff's Office, and Officer Christian with Liberty Police Department responded to the scene. Officer Christian saw the truck leaving the store and attempted to stop it, however the driver fled toward Liberty, crashing at the bottom of Bell Hill.

The driver was identified as 37 year old Brandon Ferrell, of Mt. View, Arizona.

Security video shows Ferrell with a chain hooked to his truck, pulled the front door off the frame, then attempted to do the same with the ATM machine. Damages are estimated at over $2,000.

Ferrell was issued a citation due to injuries sustained in the wreck.
