CASEY COUNTY FISCAL COURT REPORT

 

The Casey County fiscal Court made in regular session Monday.

 

On approval of minutes from the last meeting Judge Executive Randy Dial asked that a statement be added from the last meeting from County Attorney Tommy Weddle  concerning COVID-19 liability...

 

 

The motion was made & approved.

 

Under the Treasurer's report, Judge Dial made a notation concerning the Jail budget...

 

 

Under General Business, there was a 2nd Reading & Adoption of a budget amendment...

 

 

The motion was made & approved.

 

Also under general business the court received six bids on a replacement of the chiller system at the Judicial Center. The lowest bid was from Comfort Systems USA at $165,000. The court voted to accept that bid.

 

Under Road Business, Judge Dial says the trucks that were ordered by the county for the road department are now in Louisville and should be delivered within the next week or so.

 

Under Jail Business, the Casey County Jail has taken in six new state inmates. Judge Dial says he will meet with medical providers in hopes of reducing those costs to the jail.

 

Under miscellaneous business, The judge asked the magistrates for a six-month extension on the policy concerning county employees receiving Covid pay...

 

 

The magistrates agreed and voted unanimously to extend the policy.

 

Casey County Sheriff Chad Weddle give his department's monthly activity report for the month of December... 

 

 

Sheriff Weddle also gave the his department yearly activity report for 2020...

 

 

Also at last nights meeting the magistrates voted to reopen Gateway Park. Hopefully spring sports will be able to resume normal activities. The community center could also re-open soon, that was left up to the Judge's discretion.

 

The next regular meeting of the Casey County Fiscal Court will be Mon., Feb. 1st.
