A traffic stop in Boyle County leads to drug charges.
The Sheriff's Department reports that around 10:30am Wednesday, Captain Casey McCoy conducted a narcotics investigation on West Jefferson Street in Danville. During the investigation a traffic stop was attempted on Mason Ave with the vehicle fleeing from McCoy. A short pursuit ended on Erskine Drive. The driver was identified as Howard Craddock of Danville.
Further investigation found Craddock had thrown heroin, prescription pills and marijuana from his vehicle during the pursuit. Cash and additional marijuana were found on Craddock’s person.
Craddock was transported to Boyle Co. Jail on charges of:
- Failure/improper signal
- Disregarding stop sign
- Reckless driving
- Fleeing/evading Police 1st (motor vehicle)
- Trafficking heroin
- Trafficking controlled substance 3rd Degree
- Possession of marijuana
- Tampering with evidence
- Prescription not in proper container
- Drug paraphernalia
