The Liberty City Council met in regular session Monday.
The council voted to declare two pieces of property as surplus, a defunct garbage truck, and an old one horse wagon.
That was followed by another very lengthy discussion concerning the City's water and sewer rates.
At last weeks special meeting a motion was made to adopt a new rate structure for residential and commercial customers. That motion died due to lack of a second.
As it stands the City continues to operate water and sewer at a deficit with a very large payment looming for the city this spring.
Councilman Richard Montgomery...
Councilman Bryan Beeler requested a 12 month breakdown of water usage and bills per customer. The council decided to call a special work session once that spreadsheet is completed, and they will resume the discussion at that meeting.
