A Casey County man was arrested following a high-speed pursuit Tuesday morning.

Casey County Sheriff Chad Weddle says Casey County Dispatch received a complaint around 8am, of a suspected impaired driver on Partin Ridge Road. Sheriff Weddle met the suspect vehicle, turned and activated his lights/siren. The driver, later identified as 34 year old Michael M. Morrow, Jr., of Liberty, fled onto Poplar Hill Road, and turned onto Elmore Road, then Ivan Godbey Road. The 1988 Chevy Pickup reaching speeds of 90 miles per hour. Sheriff Weddle lost sight of the vehicle, however, dispatch received a call of a male person walking on Ivan Godbey Road.

Morrow stated he was driving the truck, which had left the road and went over a steep cliff. Morrow also stated he had been using Methamphetamine & Suboxone.

Morrow was lodged in the Casey County Jail on charges of DUI-Aggravated Circumstance, Speeding 26 mph or more over limit, Fleeing/Evading Police-1st Degree-Motor Vehicle, No Operator's License, & Failure to Appear.
