CASEY COUNTY FISCAL COURT REPORT

 

The Casey Co. Fiscal Court met in regular session Monday.

 

A group from Liberty Tourism addressed the Court. Heather & Connie Cundiff, and T.J. Rahill were there concerning Ky Trail Town certification. The group asked for approval, but not funding, for some small improvements to the Ag Center, including a small gravel parking lot near the pavilion, benches, a crosswalk, improved signage, and a kayak put-in.  Judge Executive Randy Dial…

 

 

The Court will vote on the issue at their next meeting.

 

Judge Dial reviewed the proposed Tax Rates…

 

 

The tax rates were accepted.

 

The Court recently advertised for bids on a small out building at the Ag Center. The highest bid came from Ronnie Elmore for $2,750. That bid was accepted.

 

Judge Dial proposed the purchase of four Chevy trucks for snow removal…


 

The Court approved the proposal.

 

Judge Dial says the state has approved the use of inmate labor at the Ag Center…

 

 

The Court will further discuss the matter at their next meeting.

 

The phone grant was approved for a new phone system at the 911 Center. Judge Dial proposed a plan to bring the radio system up to date with a new antenna & co-ax at a cost of $13,000…

 

 

The proposal was approved.

 

Casey Co. Sheriff Chad Weddle gave his monthly activity report, and reported on a drug round-up operation this past weekend…

 

 

The next meeting of the Casey Co. Fiscal Court is scheduled for Oct. 5th.
