Danville Police arrest two men after a brief foot pursuit late Wednesday.

Around 7pm, Officers Addison and Bradshaw made a traffic stop on 2nd St., on a vehicle  occupied by William Welch and Chad Warren.

Once the vehicle stopped the passenger (Warren) fled on foot. Other officers canvassed the area, and Warren was later apprehended after another short foot chase without further incident. 

Warren was in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. He also had outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest. 

Welch also had an active warrant.

Fleeing/Evading Police-2nd Deg. (On Foot), Trafficking in Methamphetamine-1st Deg. 2nd Offense >2g, & Possession of Marijuana & Drug Paraphernalia.
Warrants:
3 Failure to Appear
1 Trafficking in Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)

Contempt of Court Warrant

Both men were lodged in the Boyle County Jail.
