CASEY COUNTY FISCAL COURT REPORT

 

The Casey County fiscal Court met in regular session Monday. 

 

Miss Kim Kane, from the Lake Cumberland District Health Department, addressed the court concerning the property tax rate for the health department, which will remain the same as last year, .043 cents per hundred dollars assessed value.

 

Miss Jan banks with the Casey county public library address the court concerning the library tax rate which will be slightly lower than last year at 9.4 cents per $100 assessed value of real and personal property. 

 

Both rates were approved.

 

Under general business the court heard a second reading and adoption of budget amendment. Casey County Judge Executive Randy Dial...

 

 

Judge Dial says tax rates for the county will remain unchanged. 

 

 

The tax rates were approved. 

 

The magistrates voted to accept excess fees from the clerks office in the amount of just over $11,000, and excess fees from the county attorney’s office at just over $259. 

 

The court went into executive session for about 20 minutes to discuss personnel. No action was taken. 

 

Under road business, Judge Dial says the county will receive about $2 million less than last year in road funds... 

 

 

The magistrates also voted to declare a small cabin at the central Kentucky Ag center as surplus. The cabin has been damaged by vandalism and the elements. The court approved the motion to advertise for bids. 

 

Casey County Sheriff’s Office and Weddle gave his monthly activity report for the month of July.

 

The next regular meeting of the Casey Co. Fiscal Court will be Sept. 7th.
