PCSO: 3 ARRESTED ON BURGLARY CHARGES EARLY MONDAY

According to Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck, three people were arrested by Deputy Zach Mayfield Monday morning, August 10, 2020, at 8:45 AM for Burglary on Porter Creek Road near the intersection of Lanetown Road in western Pulaski County.

Deputy Zach Mayfield and Sergeant Cary York responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle in the Lanetown Road and Porter Creek Road area around 7:58 AM Monday. While on their way to the area, Deputies learned that the victim of a break-in had a pickup truck blocked on the roadway with the victim’s vehicle.

When Deputies arrived, they identified three people in the pickup truck along with items that were identified by the victim as belonging to the victims and that they were stolen from the victim’s garage yesterday morning.

As a result of the investigation, Deputy Zach Mayfield arrested the following individuals:

  • Robert J. Claunch, age 61 of W. Highway 80 in Nancy, Kentucky. He was charged with Burglary, 3rd Degree for illegally breaking into the garage, and stealing items.
  • Brent E. Barton, age 44, also of W. Highway 80 in Nancy, Kentucky. He was charged with Burglary, 3rd Degree for the break-in, and stealing items. Deputies also located a small bag of marijuana on Mr. Barton, so he was charged with Possession of Marijuana. It was also discovered that Mr. Barton had a Pulaski County Circuit Bench Warrant for a Civil Case. He also had a Pulaski County District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear on a Theft by Unlawful Taking charge from 2015. He was charged with these warrants.
  • Gara Renee Bolin, age 39, of Willow Oaks Drive in Nancy, Kentucky. Ms. Bolin was charged with Burglary, 3rd Degree for breaking into the garage, and stealing items. Ms. Bolin also attempted to conceal her identity and was charged with Theft of the Identity of Another without Consent and for Giving an Officer False Identifying information. Ms. Bolin also had a Pulaski County Circuit Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on a 2017 Methamphetamine charge initially investigated by Lake Cumberland Drug Task Force Director, Wayne Conn.

All three individuals were lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
