Unemployment rates fell in 82 Kentucky counties between June 2019 and June 2020, rose in 33 and stayed the same in five counties, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics (KYSTATS), an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.
Carlisle County recorded the lowest jobless rate in the Commonwealth at 3 percent.
Magoffin County recorded the state’s highest unemployment rate at 11.7 percent.
