A Boyle County woman was killed in a single vehicle accident in Marion County early Sunday.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 1am Sunday, on highway 49 approximately (2) miles north of Bradfordsville. 

31 year old Rachel R. West, of Danville, apparently lost control in a curve. The 2004 Chevrolet car traveled off the road, striking several trees and overturned. 

Marion County Rescue Squade, and Bradfordsville Fire Department responded to assist in extrication due to entrapment in the vehicle. 

West was pronounced dead at the scene by the Marion County Coroner. 

Marion County Sheriff's Deputies Jeff Caldwell and John Purdom investigated.
