A man was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly fired a shotgun through the door of his girlfriend's residence.
It happened around 9:30pm Friday evening, Boyle County Sheriff's Deputies Ruhe & Conley, along with Juntion City Police Chief Preston, responded to Northtown Apartments in Junction City in reference to shots fired. It was reported that a male wearing camouflage was armed with a shotgun.
Deputies located and detained John L. Washington. A search of the area resulted in deputies locating a 20-gauge Mossberg shotgun and two rifles.
Multiple witnesses reported, Washington went to the apartment of his former girlfriend, armed with a shotgun, and stated he was going to kill her. Witnesses say Washington fired three to four rounds through the front door, in close vicinity of the victim.
No injuries were reported during this incident. This case is currently under investigation by Deputy Ruhe.
Washington was lodged in the Boyle County Jail on charges of Attempted Murder-Domestic Violence, & Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree.
