A Pulaski County man, injured in a shoot-out with Police, has been released from the hospital and is facing numerous charges.
According to Pulaski Co. Sheriff Greg Speck, on June 23, 2020, Charles Wilson was released from the University of Kentucky Hospital today and with the assistance of the University of Kentucky Police Department the Deputies took him into custody.
Deputies transported Mr. Wilson, age 51, of 130 Smith Ridge Spur Road to the Pulaski County Detention Center where he was lodged.
At 9:33 PM, Deputy Ryan Jones served the Pulaski County District Court Warrants on Mr. Wilson. The current charges are:
? Attempted Murder (Shooting the Initial Victim)
? Wanton Endangerment – 1 st Degree – Police Officer (2 Counts) Shooting at the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies
? Wanton Endangerment – 1 st Degree – Police Officer (5 Counts) Shooting at Kentucky State Police Troopers
This case remains under investigation by Detective Sergeant Cody Cundiff with the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and Detectives with the Kentucky State Police.
This case will be presented to a Pulaski County Grand Jury where further charges are anticipated.
