A Boyle County woman is behind bars, accused of stabbing her husband, and her brother-in-law.

On Friday, Deputies Abbott, Bottom, and Lyons from the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office along with the Boyle County First District Constable responded to the area of ?10,000 Lebanon Rd.? for a report of two males (brothers) that had been fighting, and both had been stabbed. 

Both of the brothers had suffered stabb wounds and were transported to EMRMC by Boyle Co. EMS. 

Neither victim cooperated with law enforcement or provided any information regarding who had assaulted them. However, uninvolved witnesses that were at the scene at the time of the assaults stated to deputies that the brothers had been rolling on the ground, fighting when Melisa Hicks stabbed her brother-in-law several times and while doing so stabbed her husband once (unknown if intentional). 

Melisa Hicks was arrested and charged with Assault 1st Degree and Assault 1st Degree-Domestic Violence.
