A motion was made by Councilman Andy Lawhorn to award the garbage service bid to Rumke Sanitation, that motion was 2nd'd by Councilman Brian Beeler. The motion carried by a vote of 5-1 with Councilman Larry Bowmer voting against.

Rumpke Sanitation will take over garbage collection in the city starting the first of February, 2020.

The Council also considered a Property Maintenance Code for the City of Liberty. A second reading of that Code will likely be on the agenda for the next meeting.
