LIBERTY-CASEY COUNTY RESCUE SQUAD RECEIVES GRANT FOR NEW ALL TERRAIN RESCUE VEHICLE

The Liberty-Casey County Rescue Squad recently was the recipient of a 2019 Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation grant award. This grant was in the amount of $10,655.00, for the purchase of an Utility All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and was approved to purchase a 2019 Kawasaki Mule Pro-FX EPS Utility All-Terrain Vehicle for use in off-road rescue missions such as, but not limited to Rough Terrain Rescue, Lost and Missing person(s) Missions, Water Rescue Missions, Farm Rescues, Mutual Aid Request Missions, Disaster Areas, Large Scale Fire Ground Operations, Public Assist in large scale public events, and other Rescue Missions as requested.

This U-ATV will greatly enhance our capabilities for rescue responses, and will provide a greater method of transport of patient(s) from off-road emergency and limited access disaster area situations to awaiting EMS Units, which will reduce the time of treatment from scene to hospital, with the ultimate goal of improving the patient(s) outcome thru a higher level of service. The Liberty-Casey County Rescue Squad is a low budgeted all volunteer organization with a response area of Liberty and all of Casey County, Ky., an area of approximately 444sq. miles, this grant is a very big benefit for us, and will allow us to provide a better service to our community and those visiting and passing thru.

Liberty-Casey Rescue Squad would like to thank the Foundation for their support of our organization and other emergency services.
