Georgia man arrested on felony drug charges following traffic stop.
Around 1am, Monday, Adair County Sheriff K-9 Deputy Josh Durbin and KSP Trooper Alan Shirley initiated a traffic stop 4 miles north of Columbia on KY 61N. The stop was on a 2004 Chevrolet operated by 33-year-old Juan Mulderuado of Georgia. During the roadside investigation it was suspected that narcotics may be in the vehicle, so Deputy Durbin deployed his K-9 "Nitro". The K-9 indicated a positive hit for the odor of narcotics, and as a result methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located in the auto.
Juan Mulderuado was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and No Operators License.
The Adair County Sheriffs Office is continuing the investigation.
