DRIVER INJURED IN SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT WEDNESDAY MORNING

A Casey County teen was injured when he swerved to avoid a deer.

The Casey County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene around 7am Wednesday, about 10 miles east of Liberty.

18 year old Seth Ipock, of Gum Lick Rd., Liberty, was driving a '99 Infinity I-30, headed north on KY 501 when he swerved to avoid a deer in a curve.  Ipock lost control of the vehicle, which crossed the center line, ran off the left side of the road, struck a utility pole, then continued and struck a home, owned by Jimmy Burchell.

Casey County EMS took Ipock to the Casey County Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Sheriff Chad Weddle investigated.
