A Danville man was arrested on drug charges in Pulaski County over the weekend.
Deputy Marcus Harrison with Pulaski County Sheriff's Office assisted KSP Trooper Corey Jones on a traffic stop Sunday evening at the intersection of Puncheon Creek Road and Highway 635 in Science Hill.
The Deputy noticed a needle cap lying in the floorboard of the vehicle, a 1999 Jeep Cherokee, driven by, 48 year old Luther Fugate.
A thorough search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of 10 bags of suspected methamphetamine (28.5 grams-total), several syringes, a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue and a small bag containing 2 Suboxone and 5 Clonazepam pills. Deputy Harrison also recovered $230 in cash from the vehicle.
Mr. Fugate was placed under arrest for Trafficking in Methamphetamine-1st Degree, Illegal Possession of Legend Drug, Possession of Controlled Substance-3rd Degree-Drug Unspecified, & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Trooper Jones also served Mr. Fugate with a Boyle County Warrant for: Failure to Appear.
Luther Fugate was lodged in the Pulaski County Jail without further incident.
