According to Pulaski County Sheriff, Greg Speck, Deputy Brandon Smith responded to a single vehicle accident on KY 196 in Nancy, KY. When Deputy Smith arrived, he discovered a 2003 Toyota Tundra on its top. The Tundra was pulling a small fishing boat. The vehicle was being operated by a Ernest Larch, age 59 of Nancy, KY. Mr. Larch was treated at the scene by Somerset/Pulaski County EMS and transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The injuries appear to be non-life threatening. There were no other passengers in the truck with Mr. Larch.
It appears the vehicle was traveling westbound and was going into some S curves on KY 196 when the driver lost control striking an embankment and overturning. The truck sustained major damage, but the boat and trailer only sustained minor damage. Wet roads may have been a contributing factor in the accident.
The Nancy Fire Department arrived at the scene and assisted with the injured and assisted the Sheriff’s Office during their investigation.
The accident remains under investigation by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.
