MORRIS INGRAM, 90, LOUISVILLE (GREEN CO. NATIVE)

 

Morris W. Ingram, 90, of Louisville, KY, son of the late John Ingram and Alice Ingram, was born on August 14, 1928 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at his home. 
 
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was retired from the Jefferson County Public Schools serving as Principal for Valley Elementary and Layne Elementary Schools. He was also a Veteran having served in the United States Army. Mr. Ingram was also a member of the Kentucky Education Association, Classroom Teacher Association, and the Elementary Principal Association.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Leona Elizabeth Johnson Ingram on February 26, 2016, and by 3 brothers: Coy L. Ingram, Harold W. Ingram & Dennis Ingram.

 

 

SURVIVORS: 1 brother: John W. Ingram of Louisville; 1 sister: Judy Spurgeon of Tennessee; a caretaker: Tammy Ottersbach of Louisville; Close friend: Gloria Adams of Louisville; A host of nieces, nephews & other relatives & friends

Funeral Service: 1:00pmCT,  Monday, January 14, 2019 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with Bro. William Davenport and Bro. Garnett W. Davis officiating

 

Burial: Ladies Chapel Cemetery 

 

Visitation: After 10:00amCT on Monday at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of funeral service

 

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Ladies Chapel Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
